Login (Google Apps, Google Accts, non-google email addresses)
There are 3 ways to login into Socialwok
When logging into Socialwok as a new user, you will walk through a user wizard. If you need to redo the user wizard, just click on User Wizard to open up the wizard again.
Setting up Google Talk notifications for your Socialwok account (Google Apps Accts, Google Mail accounts only). Once you activate your Google Talk notification, login into Gmail and see the invite in your Google Talk Gadget
Invite more users into your network. Socialwok will try to discover all the users in your domain using your Google Contacts. If there are any more users in your domain you would like to invite, enter them in field marked "Others."
Posting your first status update.
Each user has by default two feeds:
- Home contains posts from users and feeds that you are following
- Organization contains public posts from all members of your network
Start using Socialwok by posting a status update. Try typing a URL into the status update and attach a file.
After posting the status update
Create a feed
Create a new feed & invite followers to join the feed. Click New Feed.
There are 2 types of users in your network:
Internal followers: Your co-workers and members of the same email domain (eg. test6@vyantra.com creates vyantra.com domain network, xxx@vyantra.com is an internal follower)
External followers: All email addresses that are outside your Google Apps or Gmail domain or email domain (eg. test6@vyantra.com creates vyantra.com domain network, ming@voiceroute.net is an external follower)
To invite external collaborators, navigate to feed of which you are the administrator and invite the people you want. For example, Marketing.
Use invite section on right hand side. We search your existing Google Contacts for the collaborators you would like to invite.
Accessing mobile web version of Socialwok (iPhone, Android)
To access mobile web version of Socialwok, point your mobile web browser to http://app.socialwok.com.
